On the 1st of May, Tridant’s Ana Yin & Exasol’s Eva Murray hosted a Tableau event at the Hard Rock Café in Darling Harbour, allowing Tableau enthusiasts in the Sydney community the opportunity to engage with the software and meet like-minded people.
The theme of this event was MakeoverMonday, the popular social data project linking hundreds of members from the global Tableau community in an effort create better data stories.
With an audience of approximately 40 people, the Tridant team was on hand to assist attendees with questions and help them bring their vizzies to life, retell a data story and share it online with the rest of the community. The energy in the room was phenomenal, with presentations from audience members demonstrating each of their unique approaches to the makeover.
Sustaining themselves on a sea of canapés and drinks flowing throughout the evening, audience members engaged in teams of 2 to 3 in a bid to create a unique and creative dashboard through an exchange of their knowledge and diverse data backgrounds.
For everyone who attended, we hope that you found the live session worthwhile and that you got some value out of the hands-on experience with the software. Hopefully you learnt some new tips and tricks that you could immediately apply in your organisation.
