From its humble beginnings in 2007 based out of Alec Jeffery’s living room, Tridant has grown into one of Asia Pacific’s most trusted Information Technologies consultancies. This can be attributed to the wonderful team of employees that Tridant has established over the past 11 years, its dynamic leadership team that has been able to tune its strategy in line with the market over the years, and most importantly to Tridant’s valued Clients & Partners who have chosen to work with the team during those times.
Tridant has come a long way since founders Nimrod Kuti and Alec Jeffery had that initial living room meeting where it all began. Three years into the journey, Rob McConnochie and Willem Boshoff joined from IBM to make four shareholding Directors in Southern Region. Shortly thereafter, James Wakefield joined the Management Team to oversee the Western region, and in Sydney, Michael Taylor came on board to commence the Data and Analytics Practice and the Northern Region presence in 2011. Additional leadership positions were filled by CFO Richard Little, and Delivery Manager Gareth Cook (now Head of Customer Success).
The Northern Region team in particular has seen significant growth over the past 7 years, necessitating three location moves to accommodate the expanding team. The first official office was located on Grosvenor Street, a humble abode no bigger than your average meeting room. Two years in, Michael became acutely aware that a small, crowded office without air-conditioning in the middle of a Sydney summer gets HOT! It was time for another upgrade. The team packed up their belongings and made their way to 50 Clarence Street, which was adequate for quite some time as the majority of consultants were on site adding value to their respective client programs. That all changed when the Customer Success team secured multiple long term contracts to manage and maintain Analytics ecosystems for a series of marquee clients, and thus the space once again could no longer accommodate the growing team. Fast-forward to May 2018, and after much searching for the ideal premises, Tridant transitioned to the much more impressive and spacious office at Level 12, 25 Bligh Street, complete with custom-made purple-felted pool table!
On Wednesday September 12th, the Tridant team was able to raise a toast to the growing team at the official unveiling of the new office. Great and in some cases emotional speeches from Rob and Michael reflect the personal investment that has done into building such a great team. Accompanied by delicious food, and more than a few cold beverages, attendees partied into the night with the pool table a focal point of good banter and fierce competition. It was an evening of great celebration and the team were so excited to ‘christen’ the new space with those people worked most closely with.
To emphasise what Rob McConnochie mentioned in his opening speech, Tridant would like to again thank its wonderful ecosystem of Clients & Partners who have helped grow Tridant into the team it has become today. As Michael pointed out during his closing speech – every single decision made by partners and clients alike to work with the team has a positive impact and outcome to the team, and for that they could not be more appreciative.
The feedback from all in attendance has been unanimous that a great time was had by all, and the team looks forward to working with you in the near future. The pool table kicks off at 5pm each Friday and word on the street is all are welcome for game, a drink, and more banter.
