Purpose of the Position
Responsible for technical, functional and business outcome aspects of a project. Required to maintain high standards of communication throughout the delivery phase of the customer engagement process. Expected to maintain high standards of knowledge applicable to relevant software and industry best practice.
You will work closely with your Practice Manager and Project Team to understand user behaviour, translate business needs into requirement, and help with model improvements to purposefully solve customer problems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify, analyse and evaluate business requirements through a structured methodical approach
- Translate and document requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with the project team to develop wireframes and user flows
- Interpretation of technical and business requirements to design end to end solutions and identify process and system improvements
- Definition of the data, process, technical & application architectures to support solutions
- Communication with stakeholders, business and technical project teams, infrastructure teams and operational support teams
- Deliver and contribute to successful projects within agreed parameters of scope, time and cost
- Ensure solution aligns with business needs and best practices
- Configuration of software applications
- Undertake QA and unit testing of all functionalities
- Development of User and System documentation
- Provide IT Support, updates and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain reporting infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders
- Create and review training materials and support staff with ongoing system training
- Contribute to internal IP including service design documentation, business logic, workflows to improve business unit and team efficiencies
- Timely and accurate completion of time sheets
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, IT or Engineering
- Experience working within the IT industry
- Advanced Excel skills
- Understanding of the Software Development lifecycle (requirements, design build, test, deploy)
- Financial modelling exposure including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Valuations, 3-way financial statement modelling for Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting (experience gained via internship, university project or extra-curricular activity will be considered)
- Knowledge of TM1, Workday Adaptive Planning or Anaplan – desirable
- Experience with programming languages (eg. SQL, javascript, VBA, python) – desirable
- Experience working with deadlines and knowing escalation points - desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
