A faster, more reliable Anaplan platform and the foundations for smarter operational planning.
Port of Auckland is New Zealand’s largest import container port and a critical gateway for the country’s containerised trade, with Anaplan underpinning how it plans and reports, from financial performance through to operational capacity. Across 2025 and 2026, Tridant has partnered with the port to make the platform faster and more dependable, and to begin extending it from finance into front-line operational planning.
Over time, Port of Auckland’s Anaplan model had grown alongside the business, bringing size, complexity and longer processing times. Tridant ran a focused health check; five days reviewing the model in detail, then ten days implementing the agreed changes, leaving a model that is 42% less space intensive, around 25% faster to calculate and roughly 60% quicker to load. The result is leaner, simpler to interrogate and easier for the team to use every day.

Port of Auckland’s Anaplan environment had become a critical business tool, but one that was becoming difficult to change safely. By implementing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Tridant gave the port a clear separation between development and live production, turning Anaplan into a more reliable and scalable platform.
The finance team can now make improvements quickly and with confidence, without putting live reporting, month-end or business decisions at risk. The deployment took five days, on time and in budget, with handover and training built in so the team can carry it forward themselves.

The relationship has extended beyond individual engagements, with both teams investing in a genuine working partnership:
