What's New in IBM Planning Analytics - February 2025

There are a number of great new features and capabilities within IBM Planning Analytics that are available for use right now. Below is a list of the key changes to the platform that will most benefit users.

Planning Analytics (AI) Assistant now available

Use natural language to access, manage and act on data with speed. Create easy-to-understand content, uncover hidden trends, and forecast with greater accuracy.

Benefits of the AI Assistant:

• Natural language experience
• Chart insights – Get detailed explanations such as outliers or key drivers
• Cell Explain – Detailed explanation of calculated values within reports
• Process Explain – Detailed explanation of processes to help you understand what the code is doing.

Updated action button features

Users now have more control over key processes:

• Ability to run processes in parallel – Speed up your processing by running multiple processes simultaneously. Simply click the action button multiple times for various parameters.
• Navigation options
• Run AI Jobs
• Advanced error handling and custom notifications

Customise cell colour based on state

You can now replace the default colours shown for the various states a cell might be in.
